— 2GB Hosting serves all of its videos using the DivX Web Player, courtesy of DivX. The DivX Web Player is an application which allows the streaming of DivX and similar-format videos from web servers.— In order to stream videos from 2GB Hosting, you must have the DivX Web Player installed.
— Linux users: unfortunately, there is no version of the DivX Web Player for Linux. However, all videos should be also streamable using the Linux MPlayer browser plugin, which you can install using the package manager of your distribution.
Why am I getting "403 Forbidden Errors"?
— Due to our content protection system, some users may receive a "403 Forbidden" error when trying to access our videos. Please make sure that you are receiving this error while using an official 2GB Hosting site.— Also, please note that sometimes, the number of restrictions to one of our servers may be restricted. If you are using a downloading manager or have multiple videos open, try closing one of them first or changing the settings.
Why does slow loading of videos and incomplete downloads happen?
— We're sorry about the slow speeds and broken downloads at times, which occur because our servers are often overloaded. We are working toward resolving this issue. Note that you can also press the start button to start the video before the buffering is done, but this often means that you'll have to buffer again later. Alternatively, you can simply Download the video and wait for it to finish.— For videos that are not completely downloaded, you can often watch them offline by right-clicking on the file that ends with .part. Hover your mouse over Open With, and select your media player of choice.
Why does video streaming stops part way?
— Occasionally, your connection to our servers may break, either due to a technical issue on our end or an issue with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). In these cases, the video may not completely download.— We recommend you clear the cache of your DivX Web Player by right clicking on the player and selection Preferences while viewing a video, going to the "Download cache" tab, and pressing the Clear cache button. Then, you may allow the video to buffer again.
Why won't the videos work after I upgraded to DivX Web Player 2.0?
